Joan Bell 73, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Joan Michelle Cook was born May 8, 1952 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Robert Tillman and Zelma Dean Ferry Cook and was married to John Mark Bell on November 8, 1974.
Joan worked as a hairdresser for over 50 years, was the owner and operator of Perfect Touch Beauty Salon in Livermore, and a member of Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church. Joan enjoyed crafting, caring for her Koi fish ponds, gardening, and watching University of Kentucky Basketball games with her husband. She also loved watching her hummingbirds and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John M. Bell, who died March 9, 2025; two brothers, Monty ‘Butch’ Cook and Larry Bell; and a dear friend, Kathy Leonard.
Joan is survived by two sons, Jeff Reynolds (April) and John Mark Bell both of Livermore; three daughters, Janella Redfern (David) of Sacramento, Jessica Troutman (Ashley) of Calhoun, and Jaclyn Kassinger (Jake) of Livermore; twelve grandchildren, Justin Reynolds (Lindsay), Brittany Heath (Cody), Grayson Reynolds, Trenton Redfern (Megan), Colton Redfern, Addie-Belle Redfern, Kate Morris (Dustin), Clayton Troutman (MacKenzie), Jacey Troutman, MaKayla Kitchens, Eli Bell, and Keagan Kassinger; 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Cook (Patty) of Owensboro and Robbie Cook of Lexington; and two sisters, Janella Fulkerson (Steve) of Owensboro and Faye Howard of Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Joan’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Musters in Livermore.
