Janice Brooks Obituary

 

 

 

     Janice Brooks  86, of Madisonville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Janice Ray Hillard was born May 24, 1939 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Merle Grant and Iva Lou Coffman Hillard, was married to George Wayne Marsh until his death on March 5, 2009, and was later married to Clyde Cecil Brooks, until his death on October 27, 2020.

     Janice was a homemaker, retired from Perdue Foods and earlier worked at the former Charles Chips Factory in Calhoun.  She was a member of the Baptist faith and was a Sunday school teacher for several years.  Janice loved spending time with both her family and friends.

     In addition to her parents and two husbands, Janice was preceded in death by a son, Tony Allen Chambers.

     Janice is survived by a son, Troy Chambers of Livermore; a daughter, Donna Berry of Madisonville; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Hillard of Owensboro and Leon Hillard of Island; and two sisters, Sue Henson of Dry Ridge, Kentucky and Rebecca Sutherlin of Livermore.

     Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Friday, July 18, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.  Friends may visit with Janice’s family from 12:00 P.M. (noon) until 3:30 P.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.

     The Janice Brooks family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Oak Hill Cemetery, Perpetual Care Fund; C/O Independence Bank; P.O. Box 39; Livermore, Kentucky  42352.
