James M. Overfield

     James M. Overfield  93, of Robards, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital with his family by his side.  James Marion Overfield was born November 19, 1932 in Henderson County, Kentucky to the late Lilburn Dale and Linda Griffin Overfield, was married to Shirley Ann Cooper Overfield, until her death on July 29, 1988, and was later married to Beverly Hawes Overfield, until her death on July 10, 2009.

     James retired as an equipment operator from the State Highway Department in Henderson.  He enjoyed hunting and watching western movies.

     In addition to his parents and wives, James was preceded in death by a daughter, Delana Gail Alvey, who died October 30, 2022.

     James is survived by a daughter, Debra Overfield of Robards; a son-in-law, Robert Alvey of Robards; and two granddaughters, Susannah Alvey and Shelby Alvey.

     Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson.  There will be no public visitation.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for James’ family.
