Jackie Howard

Jackie Howard 85, of Island, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 3, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Jackie Howard was born July 29, 1941 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Earl and Ethel Mae Wilkey Howard and was married to the former Gina Gayle Rickard on December 19, 1980.  He retired from the coal mines and later founded De-Jack General Contractors.  Jackie was a life-long member of Buttonsberry Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching reruns of old westerns.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Howard, Sr.; daughter, Sandie Johnson; grandson, Hunter Howard.

          Jackie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gina Howard; daughters; Patricia (Steve) Case of Livermore, Jacqueline (Tim) Shocklee of Calhoun; a son, Jason (Samantha) Howard of Central City; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Linda Huckleberry of Island; brother, Zeke (Jennifer) Howard of Island.

          Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Island Baptist Cemetery in Island.  Friends may visit with Jackie’s family from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Livermore.
