Evy Thompson 15, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville. Evy Elizabeth Thompson was born July 20, 2009 in Owensboro, Kentucky and was chosen in love as a daughter to Jeffery Scott and Sarah Elizabeth Caraway Thompson.
Evy would have been a sophomore this fall at McLean County High School, where she was a member of the 2028 Class. At McLean County High, Evy was a member of the varsity cheer team and was also a member of the FFA. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Owensboro, where she was very active in the student ministry.
Evy was very creative and had a passion for art. She loved being outdoors, where she was known to climb to the highest parts of the trees. Evy had a huge heart and loved all animals, especially her cat, ‘Junie.’ She also loved making goofy videos with her siblings, cousins and friends.
It was hard for anyone to be around Evy without smiling or laughing. She loved Jesus and would encourage everyone to know him.
Evy was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Caraway.
Evy is survived by her parents, Scott and Sarah Thompson; two brothers, Leland Thompson and John Eisley Thompson both of Calhoun; a sister, Livingston Thompson of Calhoun; her grandparents, Connie Caraway of Calhoun, Ann and Herman Duncan of Owensboro, and Jeff Thompson of Louisville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
