Dee Freed 87, of Calhoun, Kentucky; formerly of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at a daughter’s home in Calhoun. Dorothy DeNell Eli was born March 24, 1938 in Crofton, Kentucky to the late Wiley and Nola Mae Parker Eli, was married to LaRay Freed on October 3, 1959, and was better known as ‘Dee’ to both her family and friends.
Dee retired from Thomas Industries in Hopkinsville. She was a member of the Park Lane Church of the Nazarene in Clarksville and earlier enjoyed crafting.
In addition to her parents, Dee was preceded in death by her husband, LaRay Freed, who died in March of 1975 and by her companion of several years, Ed Lewis.
Dee is survived by two daughters, Penny Brown of Richmond, Indiana and LaDonna Wade (Jimmy) of Calhoun; two step daughters, Lisa Arnold (Tommy) and Donna Thompson (Steve) both of Clarksville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Amy Molar (Phillip), Nathan Wade (Sara Jane) and Ethan Wade (Maria); and 9 great-grandchildren.
Family services will be held at a late date. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Dee’s family.
