Deanna Edmonds Obituary

Deanna Edmonds  69, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home in Livermore, Kentucky Monday, October 9, 2023.  Deanna Carol Peercy was born October 7, 1954 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Arthur Dee and Mary Rose Ralph Peercy and was known fondly as Deanna to those who knew her.  Deanna's life was characterized by her dedication to her community, her love for her family, and her unwavering faith.

Deanna was a proud graduate of the former Livermore High School, class of 1972, and held the distinction of being a member of the last graduating class from this institution.  Her high school years were filled with cherished memories and lifelong friendships that she held dear until her final days.

Married to David Hairm Edmonds on September 7, 1972, Deanna and David shared a love story that spanned more than half a century.  Their marriage was a testament to their love, respect, and shared values, providing a strong foundation for their family.  Deanna's love for her family was evident in her every action and word.  She found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.  Her home was often filled with laughter, love, and the lively chatter of her loved ones.

Deanna's work life was deeply intertwined with her beloved Livermore community.  She retired as a clerk from the City of Livermore, where her diligent work and commitment to public service left a lasting impact.  Her early career was rooted in the family business, Peercy's IGA, where she learned the values of hard work and community service from her parents.  These experiences shaped her into a woman who was deeply committed to her community and its people.

Deanna's interests extended beyond her family and work.  She held a passion for sewing, a skill she used to create beautiful pieces for her family and friends.  Deanna also loved to travel, exploring new places and experiences with a sense of curiosity and wonder.  Yet, no matter how far she traveled, her heart always remained in Livermore.

A member of the Livermore United Methodist Church, Deanna's faith was unwavering.  She was a constant presence in the congregation, participating in church activities and serving others with a heart full of love and compassion.  Deanna was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rose Peercy and by a brother, Perry Wayne Peercy.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, David Edmonds; two sons, Daven Edmonds of Livermore and Derek Edmonds (Jody) of Pack; four grandchildren, Kyler Young, Brycen Young, Ansley Edmonds, and Wyatt Edmonds; her father, Art Peercy of Livermore; a brother, Troy Peercy (DeAnna) of Livermore; and a sister, Sherry Logsdon (Tony) of Livermore.
