David Albin 85, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 at a daughter’s home in Madisonville. David Taylor Albin was born December 23, 1939 in Sacramento, Kentucky to the late JT and Nadine Rickard Albin and was married to the former Mary Michael Shultz on August 18, 1961.
David retired as a business manager from Gunn Oil Company in Madisonville and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Madisonville. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a founding member of the Anton Volunteer Fire Department, serving as the fire chief for several years. David was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and also loved all sports, especially baseball.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary M. Albin, who died March 22, 2022; by a daughter, Caroline Rose Albin; and by a brother, JW Albin.
David is survived by his children, Theresa Fischer (Tony) of Owensboro, Joanie Jarvis of Madisonville, Michele Albin, and David M. Albin (Kristine) both of Livermore; five grandchildren, Adam Jarvis (Monica), Jessica Jarvis, Madison Jarvis, Sydney Kaina, and Zach Albin; two great-grandsons, Tristan Jarvis and Traycen Jarvis; a brother, Marvin Albin of Evansville; and a sister, Joyce Tanner (Donald) of Sacramento.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Livermore. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery in Livermore with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with David’s family from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Charles. Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel is handling the arrangements for David’s family.
