Coy Young

Coy Young  72, of Utica, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Coy Allen Young was born March 1, 1946 in Beech Grove, Kentucky to the late Coy Lee and Ada Maxine Taylor Young and was married to the former Katherine Ann Cave August 31, 1984.  Coy retired as an electrician from Alcoa, Warrick Operations, attended Buck Creek Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.  He enjoyed showing his antique John Deere Tractors and spending time with both his family and friends.  In addition to his parents, Coy was preceded in death by a brother, Lynn Young.

          Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Kathy Young; a son and his wife, Jeremy and Jill Young of Lexington, Kentucky; a daughter and her husband, Elaine and Doran Metzger of Milton, Vermont; two grandsons, Collin Metzger and Cameron Metzger; a brother, Charles Young of Lexington; a sister, Pat Scott of Benton, Kentucky; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Young of Utica.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Webb officiating.  Burial will be in the Utica Baptist Cemetery in Daviess County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415.  Friends may visit with Coy’s family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Musters in Livermore.

          The Coy Young family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Buck Creek Baptist Church; 3788 Highway 431 North; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
