Brenda S. Gillette

     Brenda S. Gillette  78, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Brenda Sue McClure was born May 26, 1947 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Lonard and Juanita Goodwin McClure and was married to Zedic Louis ‘Bubbo’ Gillette, Jr. on February 16, 1967.

     Brenda retired as a housekeeper from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and earlier retired from Carhart in Sebree.  She was an active member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church, where she loved helping with and caring for the children.

     Brenda had a caring heart and loved being able to help anyone and everyone.  She also enjoyed spending time with both her family and friends.

     In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Z.L. ‘Bubbo’ Gillette, who died October 24, 2011; by a daughter, Lelia D. Gillette; and by two brothers, Anthony McClure and Richard McClure.

     Brenda is survived by a son, Zedic ‘Zippy’ Gillette, V of Windy Hollow; five grandchildren, Zedic Gillette, VI (Candace), Travis Gillette (Rachel), Keegan Gillette (Lizzie), Jamien Gillette, and Brittany Heath (Jared); 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis McClure of Owensboro; and a sister, Darlene Hillard (Buddy) of Utica.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Christian Life Center of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church.  Friends may visit with Brenda’s family from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Christian Life Center of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Brenda’s family.
