Bobby Troutman

     Bobby Troutman  89, of the Buck Creek Community in McLean County, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Bobby Dean Troutman was born September 8, 1935 in the Buel Community of McLean County to the late Vaden Lee and Elsie Penrod Troutman.

     Bobby was a graduate of the former Calhoun High School, where he was a standout basketball player.  He retired as a chemical operator from W.R. Grace / Hampshire Chemical Company in Owensboro and was a member of Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church.

     Bobby was an avid fisherman and an excellent craftsman, who handmade pocket knives.  He also enjoyed gardening and farming, raising everything from tomatoes, tobacco and watermelons.  Bobby was a University of Kentucky Basketball fan and dearly loved his children.

     Bobby is survived by two sons, Bradley Troutman (Jane) of Friendly Village and Mark Lee Troutman (Belinda Sue) of Masonville; two daughters, Kathy Shiver-Hughes of Rockport, Indiana and Shannon Underwood (Steve) of Buck Creek; five grandchildren, Garrett Underwood (Lexie), Dusti Troutman, Jon Troutman, Thomas Troutman, and Daniel Troutman; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ruth Belk of Livermore.

     Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.  Private family burial will be in the Underwood Family Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Bobby’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.
