Bobby Frakes 57, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. Robert Gregory Frakes was born May 5, 1964 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Robert Owen and Virginia White Frakes, was married to the former Rose Beatrice Hicks September 1, 1989 and was better known as “Bobby” to both his family and friends. Bobby earlier worked as a roofer, was currently working as a diesel mechanic at Bosecker Trucking in Rockport, Indiana and was a member of Glenville Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Havener and Terry Jones and by a sister, Carolyn Frakes.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Rose Frakes; a son, Robert “Bobby” Frakes, Jr. of Owensboro; four daughters, Jessica Smith of Beech Grove, Britney Johnson (Kyle), Tiffany Frakes, and Haley Frakes all of Owensboro; 14 grandchildren; four brothers, Lloyd Havener of Owensboro, Ronnie Nelson (Elaine) of Glenville, David Jones of Owensboro and Gary Jones (Renee) of Philpot; and three sisters, Ann Roberts (David) of Owensboro, Connie Geary (DeeDee) of Beaver Dam and Bonnie Roberts of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Glenville Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Glenville Baptist Cemetery in Daviess County. Friends may visit with Bobby’s family from 12:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the church. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Bobby’s family.
