Blane S. Metcalf

     Blane S. Metcalf  37, of the Pack Community in McLean County, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in Hopkins County.  Blane Scott Metcalf was born March 21, 1988 in Owensboro, Kentucky to John Scott and Kimberly Shawn Gossett Metcalf.

     Blane was a 2006 graduate of McLean County High School and attended Western Kentucky University, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.  He currently worked in inventory control at Carhart and earlier worked at Owensboro Riverport and Green River Distillery.  Blane was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville and enjoyed playing both poker and rummy with Rosalee.

     Blane was preceded in death by his mother, Kim Gossett.

     Blane is survived by his father, John Metcalf (Shara) of Madisonville; two brothers, Garrett Metcalf (Jaymi) of Pack and Brennan Metcalf (Kelsea) of Manitou; two step sisters, Jessica Addison Webster (Josh) of Pineville and Lacey Addison Mays (Zach) of Newburgh, Indiana; an aunt, who was like his own mother, Shannon Quiggins of Pack; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 19, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.  Friends may visit with Blane’s family from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Calhoun.

     The Blane S. Metcalf family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to McLean County Animal Shelter; 86 Sanitation Lane; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.
