Bill Dame 77, of Madisonville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville. William Orville Dame, Jr. was born March 23, 1948 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late William Orville and Dottie Mae Miller Dame and was married to the former Myra Jane Nelson on October 10, 1992.
Bill retired from the State Highway Department in Madisonville and earlier worked at Sextet Mines in Beulah, Kentucky. He was a member and past State President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Bill loved NHRA and was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats Fan. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, music, motorcycles, and cars, being a big Dodge Man. Bill greatly loved spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Dame.
Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Myra Dame; two daughters, Penny Keplinger (John) of Calhoun and Jenny Dame of Louisville; four grandchildren, Lauren Stinnett (Evan), Maddie Crumbaker, Jonas Cheval, and Owen Cheval; two great-grandchildren, Amelia Stinnett and Avery Stinnett; and a long-time close friend, Henry Pate of Madisonville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Luzerne General Baptist Cemetery in Greenville. Friends may visit with Bill’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.
