Barbara A. Dame 85, of Slaughters formerly of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at her home. Barbara Allen Bishop was born May 16, 1940 to the late Harold Brown and Ada Lee Tapp Bishop. She was married to Edward Ree Dame until his death on March 6, 2005.
Barbara retired as a seamstress from Carhartt in Sebree and was a member of the Evangelical Tabernacle. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid fisher.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Barry Ray Dame, granddaughter, Jenny Burden; her brother and sister.
Survivors include sons: Edward Dame of Slaughters, Dennis Dame of Calhoun, Mark Dame of Slaughters; daughters, Anita Dockery of Nortonville, Lynn Daughtery of Owensboro; grandchildren: Erika Stark, Brinna Dockery, Dawson Dockery, Emma Dockery, Jerrid Craig, Jack Craig, Denise Dunn, Scott Dame, Taylor Dame, Jeremy Willoughby, Josh Dame, Jonathan Dame, Barry Dame, Kayla Taylor; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Waltons Creek Cemetery in Ohio County. Friends may visit with Barbara’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Musters in Calhoun.
