Ann Swift 92, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Renetta Ann Bowman was born October 27, 1933 in Island, Kentucky to the late Richard Theodore and Callie Myrtle Underwood Bowman, being the youngest of ten children, and was lovingly known as ‘Ann’ to both her family and friends.
Ann was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She retired from Speed Queen in Madisonville, earlier worked at General Electric in Owensboro and York Borg Warner in Madisonville, as well as working in the evenings as a beautician to help make ends meet. Ann was an extremely hard worker, and being a single mother who raised two sons on her own was one of her proudest accomplishments.
She loved Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior and was a member of Island Baptist Church. Ann was both loving and giving. She enjoyed cooking, baking for others, caring for her yard, and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In 2018, Ann sold her home in Livermore and moved to Park Regency Apartments in Owensboro, where she made many friends and was loved by all. She loved holidays with her family and playing Left Right Center, which she was the champion for the last two years.
Ann is survived by two sons, Kim Swift (Robbin) and Dickie Swift (Susan) both of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Tyler Swift, Jordan Swift, Elizabeth Bumpus (Jacob) and Catherine Forte (Nick); 3 great-grandchildren; several; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
