Another wonderful, precious part of Island is gone. The part she played in our lives was the lady who appeared occasionally to smile and ask about our boys, our health, and our happiness. We love her. Tom and Ardie Wilkerson

Mrs. Wilda was such a sweet blessing to our family over the past several years. We have grown to love her and we know that all of you miss her already. We will be praying for you in these days ahead, that you be comforted in a way that only God can provide.

Miss Wilda was one of the sweetest women I've ever known. Remember her from being at your house when I was just a teenager. She always treated each of us as if we were her own. Always so full of fun and laughter. Also remember picking her up to go with me and Mamaw Sonner , as well as her sitting with Mamaw once when I needed help. She was an angel here on earth that God called home. May you take comfort in knowing she is with not only Our Heavenly Father, but with the many who have gone before and loved her so much. God bless and love to you, her family.

Miss Wilda was such a lovely woman. I was always amazed at her love for her family, the Sunday meals when she would have them all in to eat and always seeing her out in her yard puttering around. She was such a large part of my church family while I attended Island Baptist. I know it's such a loss for the family. Prayers going up for all of you.

There are just too many wonderful words to describe this lady, a better example of family leader and nurturer can never be found. She always had a kind word and lots of yummy treats as I was growing up! She was one of the "firsts" of having a hand in spoiling me! I will cherish the memories and I know each member of the family has their own fond memories as well! Auntie was a comfort lady, you could go to her for comfort and encouragement and support. She will be missed, but everyone that knew Auntie knows that she loved Jesus and she is having the best of times now, running up and down those streets of gold. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family and I wish I could be there in person to celebrate Auntie's life! We know she is sure having a great time now! Love and miss you all.

Wilda was a wonderful blessing to us during our ministry at Island Baptist. We will always remember her kind personality and wonderful wit. We will certainly miss her, but will reflect often how our lives are richer because of her.

Ms. Wilda was such a sweet person. I remember going to her house with my Mamaw Eura Sonner for an ocassional when I was a child. She will be missed by many but especially by those she held dearest to her heart, her family. We are praying for her family during this difficult time!

Thank you so much for the kind words and especially for the prayers. I do not think our generation lives up to the Wilda Calvert Adcox or the Ms. Eura Sonnors. They were a tough generation to follow.
