Wayne Gillette Obituary

 

 

     Wayne Gillette  69, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at his home in Livermore.  Monty Wayne Gillette was born January 9, 1950 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late Zedic Louis and Daisy Lee Markwell Gillette and was married to the former Betty Ann Pollock in August of 1990.  Wayne retried from Ironworkers Local #103 of Evansville and was a member of the Pentecostal Faith.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with both his family and friends.  Wayne was a man of God and a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He had a full and happy life which was filled with many friends and good times.  In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Shayla Johnson and by a brother, Zedic Louis “Bubbo” Gillette.

     Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Betty Gillette; two daughters, Christina Gillette and Rachel Mason (Phillip) both of Livermore; two step sons, Jeff Markwell and Mike Markwell both of Livermore; two step daughters, Denetta Johnson of Muhlenberg County and Christy Markwell of Island; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ricky Lee Gillette of Utica and Kenneth Eugene Gillette of Livermore; and two sisters, Carolyn Chambers and Patricia Ann Strong both of Livermore.

     Services will be held at a later date.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Wayne’s family.
