Tex Currington 72, of Bremen, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at his home in Bremen. Larry Dean Currington was born March 26, 1946 in Dawson, Texas to the late Malry Cuban and Ethel Ruth Hunsucker Currington, was married to the former Bonnie Evelyn Kirkby August 1, 1974 and was better known as “Tex” to both his family and friends. Tex started his career in the construction of highline electrical towers, later retired as a lineman from Kentucky Utilities and retired a second time from the maintenance department at Western Kentucky University. He loved any classic cars, especially his Volkswagen and also enjoyed both rebuilding and working on cars.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bonnie Currington; two sons, Galen Currington (Kerry) of Bowling Green and Travis Currington (Suzan) of Owensboro; a daughter, Rochelle Seiler (Dave) of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren, Shaun, Ryan, Rebecca, Eli, Aly, and Bodhi; two brothers, Kenneth Currington (Evelyn) of Shreveport, Louisiana and James Currington of La Marque, Texas; and two sisters, Doris Spence and Mary Wade both of Palestine, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Revs. Tom Carroll and Mickey Travis officiating. Friends may visit with Tex’s family from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
