Sherman E. Knight

Sherman E. Knight  69, of Moseleyville, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Sherman Eugene Knight was born April 27, 1948 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Ernest Stewart and Bernice Lee Waltrip Knight and was married to the former Peggy Sue Smith October 3, 1970.  Sherman was the owner and operator of Knight Body Shop and earlier was a truck driver for Green Coal Company.  He enjoyed gardening, caring for his cats, and fishing.  Sherman was preceded in death by his father, Stewart Knight and by a half brother, Dale Knight.

          Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Peggy Knight; a daughter and her husband, Shannon and Bob Scott of Bidwell, Ohio; two grandchildren, Cameron Scott and wife, Ashlee of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Madison Scott of Bidwell; his mother and step father, Bernice and Kenneth Belcher of Pleasant Ridge.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Brother Bob Scott officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Sherman’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Sherman E. Knight family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Calhoun Cemetery, Beautification Fund; C/O John Howard; 400 Guy Settle Loop; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
