Ruth Jenkins

Ruth Jenkins  82, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at her son’s home in Evansville.  Lenora Ruth Jenkins was born April 3, 1935 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Joseph William and Bobbie Ruth Crowder Garst and was married to Jackie Ray Jenkins August 30, 1954.  Ruth was the produce manager at Livermore IGA for several years and a member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting and working jigsaw puzzles.  In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack Jenkins, who died November 24, 2015.

          Survivors include a daughter, Charissa Fulkerson and husband, Doug of Owensboro; a son, Dr. Joseph Jenkins and wife, Jennifer of Evansville; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Allen Garst of Martinez, Georgia; four sisters, Frances Hughes of Owensboro, Laura Peters of Livermore, Dean Hatfield of Owensboro, and Ruby Puckett of Livermore; several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with Mr. Hosea Brown officiating.  Burial will be in the Richland Baptist Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Ruth’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
