Roy 'Fordie' Bell

Roy “Fordie” Bell  81, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Roy Ford Bell was born August 15, 1937 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Leslie Ray and Margaret Ella Gray Bell, was married to the former Shirley May Hoover August 15, 1957 and was better known as “Fordie” to both his family and friends.  Fordie retired from the T.V.A. Paradise Plant, was a member of Livermore United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was a member of Livermore Lodge # 186 F. & A.M., a member of Rizpah Shrine Temple and an avid University of Kentucky Basketball Fan.

          Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley Bell; two daughters, Theresa Bell (Bill Johnson) of Livermore and Retha Chambers (Chris) of Island; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, Sherrell Bell of Utica.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415.  Friends may visit with Fordie’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.  Masonic services for Fordie will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.

          The Roy “Fordie” Bell family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Livermore Lodge # 186 F. & A.M.; C/O Wallace Wigginton; 2838 Livermore Road; Hartford, Kentucky  42347.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
