Pearl Carter 87, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Pearl Abney was born February 14, 1932 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Dan and Lottie Crabtree Abney. She was a private care nurse and member of Christ Gospel Church in Owensboro. Pearl enjoyed playing bingo, cleaning her house, and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Abney of Calhoun and Ricky Carter (Betty) of Livermore; a daughter, Melva Morris of Calhoun; 4 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Alvie Abney of Livermore; and a sister, Jean Ezell of Madisonville.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Green River Memorial Gardens in Livermore with the Rev. Ronnie Dame officiating. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Peral’s family.
