Ora B. Turner 95, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2018 at her home in Livermore. Ora Bennett was born March 1, 1923 in Providence, Kentucky to the late Owen P. and Nola Daffron Bennett and was married to Elmo Lindley Turner April 8, 1950. Ora retired as a bookkeeper from B.F. Evans Ford in Livermore and was a member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church. She was instrumental in the founding of the McLean County Help Office, was an avid seamstress and enjoyed sewing. In addition to her parents, Ora was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Elmo Turner, who died May 11, 1993.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna Marie Turner of Livermore and Sue Humphrey and husband, Roy of Utica; five grandsons and their wives, Jacob and Tabby Humphrey, Ryan and Sissy Humphrey, Justin and Kim Turner, Caleb and Raina Humphrey, and Lee and Molly Humphrey; fifteen great grandchildren, Johnna Humphrey, Andrea Baird, Canaan Burden, Ivy Humphrey, Hallie Baird, Harley Tompkins, Caleb Burden, Julia Humphrey, Marek Gibson, Turner Humphrey, Xander Turner, Maylyn Turner, Colson Humphrey, Owen Humphrey, and Dane Turner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with Ora’s family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
Ora’s family would like to express their appreciation for the personal care and attention of their mother’s caregivers, Sharon Ellis and Cheryl Snodgrass.
