Mike Gray

Mike Gray  73, of Calhoun, formerly of Clay, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Michael Dwayne Gray was born June 11, 1944 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Sam and Elizabeth Blaine Gray and was married to the former Mary Ann Bell December 30, 1964.  Mike was a 1962 Graduate of Clay High School and received his accounting degree from Western Kentucky University in 1967.  He retired as controller from Babcock & Wilcox and was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.  Mike loved God, his family, hunting, music, photography, spending time outdoors, and his family at Buck Creek.

          Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Gray; a son and his wife, John and Stephanie Gray of Calhoun; a daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Gray of Fayetteville, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Katie Beth Gray, Michael Gray, and Pete Morgan; and a sister, Betty Reed of Nashville.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Buck Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Webb and Laddie Pride officiating.  Burial will be in the Buck Creek Baptist Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Mike’s family from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Buck Creek Baptist Church.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Mike’s family.

          The Mike Gray family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Buck Creek Baptist Church; 3788 Highway 431 North; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the church.
