Marvin Howard, Sr. 74, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2019 at his home in Island. Marvin Glenn Howard was born December 24, 1944 in Island, Kentucky to the late Earl and Ethel Mae “Tooter” Wilkie Howard and was married to the former Connie Jane Smith January 6, 1967. Marvin was a retired self employed logger and member of Buttonsberry Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, doing woodwork, mowing his lawn and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Connie Howard; a son, Marvin Howard, Jr. of Island; five grandchildren, Leslie Manis (Scott), Lauren Dudley (Nathan), Lacie Howard, Skylar Rich (Brian), and Jesse Howard (Torrie Giffin); 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jackie Howard (Gina) and Zeke Howard (Jennifer) both of Island; a sister, Linda Huckleberry of Island; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Revs. Kevin Smith and Barney Priar officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean. Friends may visit with Marvin’s family from 11:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Livermore.
