Marie Crumbaker Obituary

Marie Crumbaker  94, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home in Island.  Elta Marie Hardison was born October 16, 1923 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late George Dewey and Callie Jane Laster Hardison and was married to Bernard Elwood “Woodie” Crumbaker.  She was a member of Island Baptist Church and was a woman of deep and abiding faith.  After retiring from General Electric, she loved to travel and be with her friends, but her greatest earthly loves were her family and her church.  Marie was known and loved for her gentle and generous spirit, her servant-heart, her unfailing devotion to her family, and her famous raisin pies.  In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood “Woodie” Crumbaker, who died April 21, 1981 and by three brothers, Delmar Hardison, Johnny Hardison, and J.D. Hardison.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Bernie and Lois Crumbaker and Ronnie and Jane Crumbaker both of Island; five grandchildren, Angela Miller (Steve), Michael Crumbaker (Judy Revlett), Sabrina Geary (Bobby), Ron Crumbaker (Martha), and Andy Crumbaker; eight great grandchildren, Lezlie Miller, Sydney Miller, Maddie Crumbaker, Lauren Stinnett (Evan), Hallie Geary, Nate Crumbaker, Abby Crumbaker, and Cole Crumbaker; 2 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Leon Hardison of Livermore and Bob Hardison of Island; three sisters, Betty Baker of Belton, Diane Dearing of Buttonsberry, and Brenda Coin of Island; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev.
