Lois Dant 85, of Beech Grove, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2018 at her home in Beech Grove. Anna Lois Thompson was born April 1, 1933 in West Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph Stewart and Mattie Jewell Thompson and was married to Joseph LV Dant November 22, 1949. Lois was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Sebree. She enjoyed all of her crafts, caring for her flowers, watching her hummingbirds, sewing, and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by a son, Terry Dant.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, LV Dant; two sons and their wives, Barry and Josie Dant and Greg and Annette Dant both of Beech Grove; four daughters and their husbands, Sheila and Bruce Blandford of St. Joseph, Pam and Tommy McCarty of Beech Grove, Kathy and Marty Owen of Owensboro and Julie and Paul Clouse of Beech Grove; 23 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sebree with Father Carmelo Jimenez officiating. Burial will be in the St. Benedict Cemetery in Beech Grove. Friends may visit with Lois’ family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Prayer services along with a video presentation of Mrs. Lois Dant’s life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
The Lois Dant family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Benedict Cemetery Fund; 180 Kentucky 136 West; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
