Joey Jones

Joey Jones  77, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun.  Joseph Louis Jones was born May 11, 1941 in Cloverport, Kentucky to the late Joseph Marion and Mildred Louise Shrewsberry Jones and was married to the former Glenna Faye Coleman April 14, 1962.  Joey was a farmer and member of Calhoun Baptist Church.  He enjoyed antique cars, square dancing, hunting and loved his dog, Meka.  In addition to his parents, Joey was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Glenna Jones who died February 17, 2011 and by two grandsons, Jesse Jones and Tyler Beck.

       Survivors include a son, DeWayne Jones (Paula) of Calhoun; a daughter, Denise Beck (Tim) of Winslow, Indiana; four grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Hart Jones (Makenzie), Desiree “Janise” Johnson, and Baylee Jones; a great grandson, Brysyn Johnson; two brothers, Bill Jones of Calhoun and Bob Jones (JoAnn) of Cloverport; three sisters-in-law, Roberta Jones of Calhoun, Connie Jones of Owensboro and Dottie Brown of Calhoun; and a brother-in-law, Donnie Coleman (Retha) of Beech Grove, Indiana.

       Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Joey’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday and from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Sunday at Musters in Calhoun.

       The Joey Jones family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Calhoun Baptist Church, Benevolence Fund; P.O. Box 283; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
