It's with a heavy heart and great sadness, that I extend my condolences to Joseph, Jonathan, and the Calvert family. The Calvert's have been a familiar part of my life as far back as my memory will take me. They have been our friends and neighbors, for over 45 years. In 1990, I married a Calvert, and became a "cousin" to them. We would joke about how prestigious it was being a Calvert and living on Calvert Lane! Joe Calvert was a genuine person. He was the one of the friendliest people I've ever met. I cannot recall a time, that I ever spoke with Joe, that he was anything other than kind and friendly. He was a pleasant conversationalist. Even the tone of his voice was soothing, you could tell he was smiling, without ever seeing his face. (He was always smiling!) In an ever changing, cruel, unfamiliar world, I seek comfort in things that remain constant, are familiar, and makes me feel safe ! For me, this was Joe Calvert. He was a " safe haven" kind of person, and people like this rare and few. I am blessed to have memories of Joe through the years, and will hold them in my heart forever!

To all of Joe's family, I offer my most sincere condolences. He was a great man and friend to many. He knew when I called and said Sonner, he was getting an order for a philly cheese steak. That was Henry's favorite thing for carry out and only from Mid Town. He will be missed by many, but none more than you, his family.
