Jerry 'Hootie' Majors

Jerry “Hootie” Majors  50, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his home in Livermore.  Jerry Lee Majors was born May 22, 1966 in Evansville, Indiana to Charles Thomas and Betty Sue Smith Majors, was married to the former Sandra Michelle Strong May 27, 1989, and was better known as “Hootie” to both his family and friends.  Jerry was a metal fabricator at A & S Fabricating in Livermore, a member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church, and a served in the Kentucky Army National Guard.  He enjoyed NASCAR, University of Kentucky Basketball, Chicago Bears Football, hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson, Rylan.  Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Majors. 

          Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Michelle Majors; three sons, Randall Majors (Kayla Hounton), Joshua Majors, and Joseph Majors all of Livermore; a grandson, Rylan Majors of Livermore; his mother, Betty Majors of Livermore; two brothers, Terry Majors and wife, Anna of Sacramento and Billy Majors and wife, Sadie of Livermore; several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Revs. Clive Bell and Roy Day officiating.  Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Muhlenberg County.  Friends may visit with Jerry’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.

          The Jerry “Hootie” Majors family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Majors Educational Fund (for his sons and grandson); C/O Michelle Majors; P.O.
