Jerry Wayne Jameson

Jerry Wayne Jameson 64, of Hanson, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at the Glasgow State Nursing Facility in Glasgow, KY.  Jerry Wayne Jameson was born June 16, 1955 in Union, Kentucky to the late Carl and Helen Schmidt Jameson and was married to the former Charlotte Elaine Staton.  Jerry formerly worked as a coal miner, at Woodmizer Sawmills, Parkest Body Shop, and retired from Clark Food Supply.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte on December 13, 2016; a brother, David Jameson; a sister, Jane Jameson; four step-brothers; two step-sisters; and a half sister.

          Survivors include his daughter, Scarlet Hancock and her husband Ryan of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Alex, Cadie, and Sam; five brothers, Carl Jameson (Maurice), George Curtis (Ginny), Bobby Curtis (Jennifer), Billy Curtis (Inger), and Buddy Runk; a sister, Shirley Utley (Bo); and several nieces and nephews.

          Jerry was a true Southern gentleman.  His kindness shown in his eyes and his bright smile.  He embraced any visitor to his home with a warm welcome. He loved to build cars and visit with fellow enthusiast at car shows. He loved spending time with his grand-kids at Kentucky Lake.  He loved all the things a true Southerner does; hunting, fishing, woodworking, UK basketball, and NASCAR.  Most importantly, he never met a stranger. If you traveled the roads of Hopkins County much you probably passed him on the road, and you would have been met with a smile and a wave - a courtesy he showed everyone. Jerry's sweet soul will be greatly missed.
          In keeping with Jerry's wishes, no funeral services will be held.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun is handling the arrangement for the Jameson Family.
