Jane Bassett Hunt

Jane Bassett Hunt  92, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Clearwater, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in Lexington.  Laura Jane Bassett was born November 30, 1926 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Henry Will and Sarah Wilson Bassett and was married to Weldon Hunt, Jr. August 10, 1946.  Jane retired as an administrative assistant with the Mines and Minerals Department for the State of Kentucky and was a member of the Baptist Faith.  She enjoyed visiting with both her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by five siblings.

          Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Weldon Hunt, Jr.; a son, Brian Hunt (Cathy) of Lexington; two granddaughters, Sarah Hunt (Jon Rader) of Lexington and Whitney Schnieder (Jon) of Olympia, Washington; many beloved nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 27th at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Jane’s family at an after service reception at Farley’s Bed and Breakfast, 290 Main Street, Calhoun, Kentucky.
