James W. Moore

       James W. Moore 73, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at his home in Calhoun.  James William Moore was born November 3, 1945 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Reamus Griffith and Margaret Whistle Moore and was married to the former Ouida Mae Pillow August 9, 1968.  James was the owner / operator of McLean County Locker in Calhoun and attended St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Calhoun.  He enjoyed both tractor and mule pulls, riding his golf cart around town and hunting.  In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a grandson, Corbin Lee McCarty.

       Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ouida Moore; two sons, Chuck Moore of Calhoun and Wayne Moore (Jennifer) of Beech Grove; a daughter, Brandy McCarty (Lee) of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Colton Moore, Kristen Moore, Kheri Moore and Chandler Moore; a brother, Steve Moore of West Louisville; and two sisters, Brenda Wedding of Mosleyville and Beverly Johnson of Owensboro.

       There will be no public funeral services.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for James’ family.
