James M. Fulkerson

       James M. Fulkerson  73, of Hartford, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Ohio County Hospital.  James Martin Fulkerson was born September 25, 1945 in McLean County, Kentucky.  James was a retired coal miner, member of Living Faith Baptist Church in Hartford and a volunteer at the Ohio County Food Pantry.  He enjoyed drag racing, Bingo, Facebook, restoring antique tractors and aggravating both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.  James was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Evon Fulkerson; a daughter, Lori Ann Fulkerson and his mother, Laura “Bug” Carter Fulkerson.

       Survivors include three sons, Tom Fulkerson (Lisa Fields), James Dean Fulkerson both of Hartford and Richard Lewis Fulkerson (Nikki) of Utica; two daughters, Emma Fraim (Darrel) and Adriene Rosendo both of Owensboro; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; his father, Thomas Estil Fulkerson of Hartford; three brothers, Tom Fulkerson, Dubby Fulkerson and Marvin Fulkerson all of Hartford; and a sister, Patricia Smallwood of Hartford.

       Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Living Faith Baptist Church, 6615 U.S. Highway 231, Hartford with Mr. Michael Douglas officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with James’ family from 10:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church.  Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the funeral arrangements for James’ family.

       The James M. Fulkerson family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Ohio County Food Pantry; 1220 South Main Street; Hartford, Kentucky  42347.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at both Living Faith Baptist Church and Musters in Calhoun.
