Ida M. “Ige” Wilson 74, of Beech Grove, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Ida Mae Wolfe was born February 12, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Lawrence and Mary Katherine Carter Wolfe, was married to James Leslie Wilson October 9, 1963 and was better known as “Ige” to both her family and friends. Ige was a homemaker, earlier worked as a seamstress at Carhartt and was a member of Beulah General Baptist Church. She loved playing Bingo, card games, and spending time with both her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James L. Wilson; a son, Lawrence Michael Wilson and wife, Kellie A. of Beech Grove; a daughter, Cora Lynn Liggett of Sebree; four grandchildren, Paige S. Wilson, Aaron M. Wilson and wife, Gena A., Logan J. Liggett, and C. Dylan Liggett; a great grandson, Jenson M. Wilson; five brothers, Billy Wolfe of Upton, Kentucky, Steven Wolfe of Louisville, Herbert Wolfe of Jewell City, David Wolfe of North Carolina, and Richard Wolfe of Beech Grove; and two sisters, Connie Lindsey of Owensboro and Tana Dant of Calhoun.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Ige’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
