Graham Smith 85, of Sacramento, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Baptist Health Madisonville. Herbert Graham Smith was born February 20, 1934 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Sherman and Annie Sevilla Conrad Smith, was married to the former Karen Jean Klein June 23, 1962 and was also known as “Herbie” to his friends. Graham was a retired school teacher from Bremen High School, a safety director for Green River Electric, a member of Sacramento Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Sacramento Lions Club, a member of Netherland Dwarf Rabbit Club, a member of Four Corners Miniature Horse Club, and enjoyed spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Karen Smith; two sons, Phillip Smith (Kim) of Calhoun and Steve “Smitty” Smith of Sacramento; two grandchildren, Logan Smith and Amber Smith; and two brothers, Norman Smith of Calhoun and Glenn Smith of Island.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Sacramento Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Baize officiating and Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with Graham’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.
