Fred W. Love 77, of Utica, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his home in Utica. Fred Wilmer Love was born May 10, 1940 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Clifton and Rhoda Odell Cobb Love and was married to the former Brenda Gail Evans August 13, 1960. Fred retired from the Ford Motor Company in Chicago and was a member of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving as an Army Paratrooper and also enjoyed both hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Wayne Love and by a brother, Bobby Love.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Brenda Love; a son, Michael Love of Hammond, Indiana; a daughter, Ronda Allende (Albert) of Lake Village, Indiana; two grandchildren, Stephen Allande (Jennifer) and Adam Allande; 2 great grandsons; a brother, Jimmy Love of West Louisville; and a very special person who he considered as his own daughter, Brenda Talley of Merrillville, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Cletus Stinnett officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with Fred’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
