Bobby R. Hansford

Bobby R. Hansford  85, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun.  Bobby Ray Hansford was born January 8, 1932 in Utica, Kentucky to the late Aubrey Vasco and Lois Mae Bradfield Hansford and was married to the former Mary Glenn Turner July 31, 1954.  Bobby was a 1950 graduate of Calhoun High School and a graduate of Brescia College in Owensboro.  He earlier worked as an insurance adjuster for Ohio Casualty Insurance and at Holder Motor Company in Calhoun, later retired from Green Coal Company, was a member of Glenville Baptist Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War.  Bobby enjoyed working in his garden, riding his gator, and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. 

          Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Glenn Hansford; a son and his wife, Jeff and Jane Hansford of Calhoun; a daughter, Cindy Miller of Calhoun; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and his dog, Lilly.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Charles Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Bobby’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Bobby R. Hansford family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Calhoun Cemetery, Beautification Fund; C/O John Howard; 400 Guy Settle Loop; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
