David L. Withers

     David L. Withers  72, of Buttonsberry, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his home in Island.  David Lee Withers was born December 16, 1947 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Vaughn T. and Myrtle Lee Bolton Withers and was married to the former Tresia Gail Trunnell September 6, 1968.  David retired from Laborers Local #1392 of Owensboro, was a member of Buttonsberry Baptist Church and a member of Island Lodge #743 F. & A.M.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being out on any lake or river, and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his son, Kevin “Toe Joe” Withers, who died July 22, 2012.

     Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Tresia Withers; a daughter, Sandra Stevens (Bo) of Island; four grandchildren, Branden Evans (Kathryn), Spencer Martin, Courtney Blandford (Josh) and Sarah Stevens; two great granddaughters, Macy Martin and Gracie Wright; and a brother, Edward Withers (Lynn) of Livermore.

     In compliance with health and public safety directives private family services will be held Friday, May 15, 2020 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Smith officiating.  Private burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County.  Masonic services conducted by Island Lodge # 743 F. & A.M. will be held at a later date.

     David’s services will be streamed live on www.musterfuneralhomes.com at 1:30 P.M. Friday.

     Musters will host a drive by public visitation for friends to support David’s family from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.  Please enter from the Morton Avenue side of the funeral home and follow the safety cones.  Due to safety directives, please do not exit your car, but you are allowed to roll down your window and show your support to David’s family.
