Wayne Boyd

Wayne Boyd  66, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Douglas Wayne Boyd was born October 5, 1951 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late J. Lee and Veda Murlene Dodson Boyd and was married to the former Kathy Sue Fuqua May 6, 1978.  Wayne retired from Century Aluminum in Hawesville.  He enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, working on cars, and tinkering with anything.

          Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Kathy Boyd; two daughters, Lesley Boyd (Jenn) of Nashville and Rachel Ward (Brandon) of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Layla Ward, Tanner Ward and Amelia Ward; a sister, Phyllis Glover of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Jim Midkiff officiating.  Friends may visit with Wayne’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Wayne Boyd family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Beech Grove Christian Church; P.O. Box 177; Beech Grove, Kentucky  42322.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.

          Wayne’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the personal care and attention of Drs. Maheshwari and Luckett, the nurses and staff of 8th Floor Oncology at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, to the staff of Hospice of Western Kentucky, and Wanda Winkler, Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Haria with Ohio Valley Nephrology.
