Shirley “Meme” Morris 83, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at her home. Shirley Ray Miles was born November 6, 1935 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Franklin and Juanita Coakley Miles and was married to James Lurton Morris August 10, 1951. Shirley was a retired cook and member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and making homemade candy. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James L. Morris, who died November 27, 2001 and by her son, James “Jimbo” Morris, who died April 8, 2018.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Morris Staves (Steve) and Renita Morris Casey both of Livermore; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Livermore City Building, 105 W. Third Street, Livermore. Friends may visit with Shirley’s family from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Livermore City Building. Muster Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements for Shirley’s family.
