Lois Marie Simms 75, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Lois Marie Paris was born December 12, 1943 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Albert Eaton and Gertrude Jones Paris and was married to Ezra Junior Simms February 14, 2009. Lois was a homemaker and member of the Pentecostal faith. She loved her dogs, Snowball and Honey. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Paris.
Survivors include her husband, Ezra Simms; a son, Tim Lacefield of Pensacola, Florida; two daughters, Debbie Gilland and Kim Lacefield both of Owensboro; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; a brother, Lonnie Paris (Rose) of Owensboro; and two sisters, Joyce Peay and Martha Coleman both of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Lois’ family from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
