Geneva “Gi-Gi” Stofer 92, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson. Geneva Lou Rearden was born September 13, 1926 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Otis and Dora Lee Newton Rearden and was married to James Leonard Stofer, Sr. February 14, 1948. Geneva was a homemaker and member of Hall Street Baptist Church in Owensboro. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards. In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Stofer, who died December 16, 1981 and by a son, Donald Ray Stofer, who died in October of 1976.
Survivors include a son, Jim Stofer of Livermore; a daughter, Judith Simon (Stephen) of Evansville; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Pascal Rearden of Owensboro.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Chapel of Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Muster Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements for Geneva’s family. Friends may visit with Geneva’s family from 10:30 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Chapel of Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
