Zena Cardwell Hankins

Zena Cardwell Hankins  82, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at her home near Livermore.  Zena Mae Rogers was born October 31, 1935 in Chandler, Indiana to the late Charles A. and Flora Edith McVay Rogers and was married to James Cardwell until his death in 1991 and was later married to John Hankins until his death in 1994.  Zena was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Faith.  She enjoyed crafting and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and two husbands, Zena was preceded in death by a son, Joe Cardwell.

          Survivors include three sons, Ernest Cardwell, Sr. of Hazel Green, Alabama, Randy Cardwell of Sacramento, and James Cardwell, Jr. of Calhoun; three daughters, Mary Sutton of Rumsey, Sheila Haire of Calhoun, and Jenny Morales of Livermore; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Keys of Chandler, Indiana.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Francis officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Zena’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Musters in Calhoun.
