Wilda Adcox

Wilda Adcox  98, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Owensboro.  Wilda Ghee Penrod was born August 8, 1919 in Island, Kentucky to the late Edwin Marion and Etha Hanna Eaton Penrod.  Wilda was married to Robert Eastwood, later married to Shirley Calvert until his death November 2, 1976, and was later married to Bert Adcox until his death April 12, 1993.  Wilda was a homemaker and member of Island Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, caring for her flowers, and sewing.  In addition to her parents and husbands, Wilda was preceded in death by a daughter, Marion Elaine Calvert; by a sister, Medorah Everly; and by a brother, Edwin “Ned” Penrod.

          Survivors include two sons, Robert Eastwood, Jr. and wife, Reba and Tommy Calvert and wife, Janet both of Island; two daughters, Shirley Moore and Vickie Parham and husband, Jim both of Island; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Chad Rafferty officiating.  Burial will be in the Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Wilda’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Musters in Livermore.
