Sarah Elizabeth Galloway

Sarah Elizabeth Galloway  95, of Calhoun, Kentucky died Monday, May 11, 2015 at Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun.  Sarah Elizabeth Pryor was born April 22, 1920 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Conrad and Clarice Hancock Pryor and was married to Elbert Galloway on January 27, 1940.  She was a homemaker, cared for several children of McLean County, and was a member of Calhoun Holiness Church.  In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Elbert Galloway, who died September 3, 2010; a daughter, Joyce G. Travis, who died December 7, 2013; and a granddaughter, Stacie Settle.

          Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Stanley Settle of Owensboro and Peggy and Gene Brockman of Evansville; a son-in-law, Jackie Travis of Livermore; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; three brothers, James Pryor of Calhoun, Hugh Pryor of Florida, and Frank Pryor of Lewisport; and a sister, Alice Lytle of Lewisport.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Sarah’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Sarah E. Galloway family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Calhoun Cemetery, Beautification Fund; C/O Winfred Williams; P.O. Box 201; Calhoun, Kentucky  42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
