Roy E. Johnson

Roy E. Johnson  85, of Livermore, Kentucky died Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Heartford House in Owensboro.  Roy Edman Johnson was born June 5, 1930 in Sacramento, Kentucky to the late Hamilton and Goldie Smith Johnson and was married to the former Anna Sue Johnson on March 1, 1951.  He retired from Whitehall Furniture Company in Owensboro, was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Livermore, and enjoyed both hunting and fishing.  In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sue Johnson, who died November 28, 2012.

          Survivors include three sons, Dallas Ray Johnson of Livermore, John Johnson of Moorman, and Bill Johnson of Livermore; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Tommy Johnson of Island; and a sister, Myrtle Douglas of Island.

          Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Roy’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and from 12:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Musters in Livermore.
