Patrick J. Guenther

Patrick J. Guenther  76, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his home in Island.  Patrick Joseph Guenther was born February 9, 1941 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to the late Clifford and Carol Burden Guenther and was married to the former Brenda Louise Troutman.  Pat retired from the U.S. Army, serving both in Korea and three tours of duty in Vietnam and later retired from A.D.S. in Livermore.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, stock car racing, football, and boxing.  In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Guenther.

          Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Brenda Guenther; five sons, Steven Guenther of Amarillo, Texas, Michael Kassinger of Owensboro, Chris Kassinger of Bowling Green, Kenny Guenther of West Louisville, and Leslie Guenther of Owensboro; two daughters, Suzanne Ruby of Maceo and Rebeca Dunn of Texas; 7 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and a sister, Shirley Guenther of Wisconsin.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Revs. Ron Hampton and Tommy Webb officiating and Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415.  Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro.  Friends may visit with Pat’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
