Mickey Keplinger

Mickey Keplinger  70, of Calhoun, Kentucky died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.  Michael Earl Keplinger was born May 17, 1945 in Rumsey, Kentucky to the late Gilbert and Erdean Cook Keplinger, was married to the former Carolyn Faye Stone on October 1, 1982, and was better known as “Mickey” to both his family and friends.  Mickey retired as the Chief of Police for the City of Calhoun and was a member of the Baptist Faith.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting his bow, and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

          Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Carolyn Keplinger; two sons, John Keplinger of Calhoun and Thomas Keplinger of Rumsey; three daughters, Renetta Keplinger, Vicki Sallee, and Jill Simms all of Calhoun; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a brother, Ronnie Keplinger of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating.  Friends may visit with Mickey’s family from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
